Abingdon Ambulance Receives High Honor

June 18, 2016 – Abingdon Ambulance Service received the Southwest Virginia Regional EMS Award for Outstanding EMS Agency.

This award is bestowed on an EMS agency which exemplifies outstanding professionalism and service to its community, whose high level of patient care is evident by innovative training, community awareness, preventive health programs, public relations efforts and participation in local, regional and statewide EMS systems.

 

Abingdon Ambulance Service serves patients, hospitals, and  other healthcare facilities across Southwest Virginia and     Northeast Tennessee from 6 offices in 5 counties in Virginia. With a fleet of over 20 ambulances and staff of nearly 100 pre-hospital EMS providers, Abingdon Ambulance Services, A Clifton Company, is among the largest and most capable EMS agencies in Virginia. AAS provides care and transport of the most critically ill patients between hospitals and has developed the reputation of providing the best in patient care.
