United Way Impact Awards

On March 17, 2016 United Way held their annual Impact Awards Ceremony at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center. The Clifton Companies sponsored the Volunteer of the Year Award for health, which was given in honor of Mac and Carol Clifton. The recipient of the award was Marcus Adkins (As pictured with the CEO Jeffrey Hundman). Marcus Adkins has worked to help the RAM Virginia affiliate in Wise County provide medical care to people who can’t afford health, vision, and dental care in Southwest Virginia. He is the common thread who is able to follow through before, during, and after he has clinic visits with his patients. He is very patient and great listener. He motivates volunteers and medical personnel and comes up with original ideas to solve problems. He has a can-do attitude at all times and gets things done. The Clifton Companies were honored to give Marcus Adkins this deserving award. Thank you Marcus Adkins for all of your hard work!
