Abingdon Ambulance Service hosts nationally accredited EMS education through our in-house training institute, as well as a partnership with Associates in Emergency Care. We also offer Continuing Education (CE) courses to allow our employees to keep up with innovative new practices while maintaining their certification.

Associates in Emergency Care (AEC) offers a nationally accredited paramedic training program at our training facility in Abingdon, Virginia.
According to the latest nationwide paramedic program data, AEC ranks in the top 5 schools in the nation for largest paramedic enrollment. According to that same data, AEC is among the top 3 schools in the nation for the most paramedic graduates annually, while continuing to maintain a 94% pass rate for the National Registry Paramedic cognitive exam.
AEC is a full service EMS education, training & testing center serving the Mid-Atlantic Region of the United States.
